Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How does the color work?
We have a natural emotional response to color! Everyone is different and will respond to colors in different ways. It often depends on the context of your life, your emotional state, and your natural personality. For example, we've found that people with self-described mellow personalities often enjoy the "warmer" tones as it gives them a little more fire and energy. And high energy people or when people are experiencing stress they often love the "cooler" colors because it relaxes them. Each color will have a very different feel when you put them on.
Q: Can I wear these all day? What’s the recommended maximum time to wear these?
Many of our customers do wear them as their all day normal sunnies. You can wear them as long as it’s enjoyable. Listen to your intuition for guidance on what colors to wear and how long to wear them.
Q: Do they block the sun?
If blocking out the sun is your priority, we recommend staying on the darker end of our color spectrum. All our lenses provide full UV400 protection from UVA and UVB rays. Blue and Indigo are our darkest colors and will block the most visible sunlight.
Q: Are they Polarized?
UV 400 protective against UVA & UVB rays but no polarization. Polarization doesn't work on most color lenses.
Q: What colors can I drive with?
Our Yellow, Aqua and Rose lenses are great for driving with. But we can not recommend the other colors out of an abundance of caution for accurately seeing street signal lights.
Q: Do you offer prescription lenses?
We're not equipped for prescription lenses but we hope to in the future with enough support!

Q: Can I try them on first?
We tested free shipping and free returns for a little while so people could try them risk free, but we had to increase our prices to make that viable. The feedback we got from our customers was that they preferred to keep the prices low even if it meant paying for shipping. So that's what we do! We keep our prices as low as possible to make it easy to collect all the colors. And we offer exchanges and returns within 14 days. Exchanges are free and returns are $8 return shipping and handling.

Everyone's needs are different so it's hard to say. Yellow is very uplifting and beneficial for improving will power, and green is going to be opening for the heart and becoming more receptive to love. Those would be a couple good colors to start with!
Q: What color helps with anxiety?
People perceive colors differently so it's hard to nail down just one. Many of our customers prefer a more calming color for anxiety. Q: What color helps with migraines?
Recent research has reported that green light can be beneficial for relieving migraines. Our warm colors (rose, red, orange and yellow) lenses are great for blocking the harsh blue light emitted from artificial light sources like overhead lights and electronic device screens that can be the cause of stress and migraines for some people.
Q: Is blue light bad?
Blue is not bad! Blue is a beneficial light. Keep in mind that context is key!
If you're using a computer or looking at artificial light sources which generally are heavy in the blue part of the light spectrum, then warmer colors like orange and great! However if you're out and about and want a cooling and calming effect during your day then blue can be very beneficial.
Lastly, also keep in mind that sunglasses are not light sources. Wearing blue lenses does not create any additional blue light, and if you take them off the amount of blue light emitted from your device to your eyes is the exact same. Blue lenses will not add any more blue light than what you'd see without them. It will only filter out the warmer tones, which is why you perceive the blue color, and experience the cooling and calming effects from filtering out warm colors.
Q: Do these block blue light?
Our warm colors (rose, red, orange and yellow) lenses are great for blocking the harsh blue light emitted from artificial light sources like overhead lights and electronic device screens that can be the cause of stress and migraines for some people.
Remember-- If you're looking into "blue light" glasses, keep in mind that if you can still see blue when wearing them, they're not blocking all the blue light!
